This course was developed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), in collaboration with the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to train renovation, repair, and painting contractors how to work safely in housing with lead-based paint and comply with EPAs Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Rule, and HUDs Lead Safe Housing Rule. Course topics include health effects associated with lead exposure, regulations, working safely with lead containing materials, cleaning requirements, and record keeping. This course contains hands-on training activities.
OSHA Lead Training 4 to 8 Hours $175.00
The class is for employees who are exposed to lead dust or fumes at work. This class includes the history of lead use, health concerns, how exposures occur, the OSHA Lead Standard, exposure monitoring, respiratory protection, work practices, and hygiene. The class meets the training requirements in the OSHA regulations.
This Lead Awareness Training course is designed to assist in providing an understanding of lead and its properties as well as how to minimize exposure during any activities that might disturb lead materials. Course topics include information on where lead can be found, health risks associated with lead exposure, products & uses, general worker safety and hygiene, and information sources.
